PolyU and PolyU SPEED Digital Marketing Course 10th Anniversary Seminar: Embracing the AI Marketing Trinity

Celebrating a Decade of Innovation

To mark the 10th anniversary of the PolyU and PolyU SPEED Digital Marketing Course, a special seminar titled “The AI Marketing Trinity” was held on Saturday, 26 April 2025, uniting alumni and experts in a celebration of academic and technological excellence. The hybrid event attracted around 100 attendees, including graduates of the Executive Certificate in Digital and Social Media Marketing, Executive Diploma in Digital and Social Media Marketing, and Professional Certificate in Digital and Social Media Marketing offered by the university. The gathering showcased the dynamic evolution of marketing through artificial intelligence.


Exploring the AI Marketing Trinity

1. AI Agents in Reasoning and Automation for Marketing Research and Presentation

Dr. Ken FONG led an insightful session delving into the framework of AI agents capable of advanced reasoning and automation. His talk highlighted how such agents can transform marketing research and presentation development. He also demonstrated Felo Agent, showcasing how the tool can perform advanced research and generate marketing and sales presentations on the fly.

2. Current Trends in AI Development: AI Agents and MCP

Shek Sir discussed the development of AI agents and Multi-Agent Collaboration Platforms (MCP). He demonstrated how to build an AI agent integrated with WhatsApp using an MCP service, offering a practical look at conversational agent deployment.

3. Vibe Coding for Non-Technical Professionals

Ivan So introduced Vibe Coding—a simplified approach for non-technical professionals. He demonstrated using the Replit platform to build a web app and Chrome extension, showcasing how marketers can develop tools without advanced programming skills.

Community and Celebration

The seminar concluded with a celebratory dinner at the university restaurant, bringing together graduates, lecturers, and current students from PolyU and PolyU SPEED. A highlight of the evening was the cake-cutting ceremony, with Dr. Keith Chau, Dr. Ken FONG, Willy Lai, Vincent Tsui, Ivan So, Shek Sir, and Edmund Choi—many of whom were part of the program’s early development.

第二場:石Sir講解AI發展趨勢與多代理協作平台(MCP),現場示範如何透過MCP服務建構WhatsApp上的AI代理

第三場:Ivan So分享適合非技術人員的Vibe Coding,並示範如何使用Replit平台開發網頁應用程式及Chrome擴充功能

晚宴於校內餐廳舉行,聚集了畢業生、講師及在校生。當晚的亮點之一是切蛋糕儀式,由鄒兆鵬博士、方健僑博士、賴志偉、徐俊文、蘇子賢、石嘉威、蔡銘邦等講師參與,他們當中不少人自課程創辦初期已投入發展。
